Athlete & Advocate Chris Mosier teams up with Areto Labs to fight online abuse and hate speech

Press Release

Edmonton, AB - Areto Labs, a technology company with a mission to make social media communities safer, is pleased to announce its partnership with Chris Mosier, an accomplished athlete, advocate, and public speaker. Mosier will join Areto Labs as an ambassador to help raise awareness about the impact of online abuse and work towards creating safer online communities for everyone.

The announcement comes on Trans Day of Visibility, a day to celebrate and recognize the achievements and contributions of transgender and gender-nonconforming people around the world. It also serves as a reminder of the challenges and discrimination that many trans people still face, both online and offline.

As an athlete, Mosier has broken barriers and achieved numerous firsts, including being the first transgender athlete to qualify for a U.S. national team in his chosen sport. Despite his successes, Mosier has experienced online abuse and hate speech, which has motivated him to become an advocate for change and speak out against discrimination and harassment.

"I am honored to partner with Areto Labs on this important day and work towards creating safer and more inclusive online spaces," said Mosier. "Trans Day of Visibility is about celebrating our community and recognizing the challenges that we still face. By partnering with Areto Labs, I hope to raise awareness about the impact of online abuse and hate speech and work towards creating a better future for all."

Areto Labs provides innovative technology solutions to address online abuse, harassment, and hate speech. The company's industry leading technology uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect and prevent harmful content on social media platforms. Areto Labs believes that technology can play a crucial role in creating safer online communities and is committed to working towards that goal.

"We are thrilled to partner with Chris Mosier on Trans Day of Visibility and welcome him to the Areto Labs team," said Jacqueline Comer, Founder and CPO of Areto Labs. "Chris is an inspiring individual who has overcome significant challenges to achieve his goals, and we are committed to having his back and making him safer online while he uses his voice to make a positive change."

The partnership between Areto Labs and Chris Mosier reflects a shared commitment to combating online abuse and making social media communities safer for everyone. By working together, they hope to raise awareness, promote education and advocacy, and develop innovative solutions that help prevent online abuse and harassment.
